Historic Inn and Tavern

For over 200 years guests Have appreciated the hospitality given at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern located in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1790, the inn was purchased by Robert Altland at 1880, also stands at the same place now. Including a third narrative and what's now its present facade completed in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to flourish. Fast forward to 1954; no longer made of logs but beautiful with a refurbished grandeur for all to enjoy the Altland House was leased at this time with a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later bought by the Haugh family in 1972.

Time Changes all Things

The original Berwick Room Has been renamed Lulu's Grill at which diners today can enjoy plenty of culinary pleasures like turtle soup, also a menu staple for over 60 decades. Travelers will enjoy overnight lodging at the historic inn. Comfortable guest rooms and suites around the no-smoking home feature free WiFi, a speedy start breakfast and eliminate bundle specials.
