Historical Inn and Tavern

For over 200 years guests Have appreciated the hospitality offered at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern located in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally constructed in 1790, the inn was bought by Robert Altland at 1880, also stands in precisely the exact same location today. Including a third story and what is currently its present facade completed in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to flourish. Fast forward to 1954; no more made of logs but amazing with a refurbished splendor for all to enjoy the Altland House was leased at this time by a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later purchased by the Haugh household in 1972.

Time Changes all Matters

The original Berwick Room Was renamed Lulu's Grill at which diners now may enjoy a plethora of culinary pleasures like crab soup, also a menu staple for over 60 decades. Travelers will appreciate overnight accommodations at the historic inn.
