Historical Inn and Tavern

For over 200 years guests Have enjoyed the hospitality offered at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern situated in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1790, the inn was bought by Robert Altland at 1880, and stands in the exact same location now. Adding a third narrative and what is currently its present facade finished in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to flourish. Fast forward to 1954; no longer made from logs but amazing with a refurbished splendor for all to enjoy the Altland House was leased at this time by a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later purchased by the Haugh household in 1972.

Time Changes all Things

The first Berwick Room Has been renamed Lulu's Grill where diners today may enjoy plenty of culinary pleasures like crab soup, also a menu staple for over 60 years. Travelers will appreciate overnight lodging at the historic inn. Cozy guest rooms and suites on the no-smoking property feature free WiFi, a fast beginning breakfast and get away package specials.
