Osa’s operate ranges from portraits of iconic characters to scenic images, brand designs, abstract art, and tribal art designs that appeal to the human feelings. Osa tends to doodle on anything he can lay his hands on, as his wandering pen is regularly itching to tell a story.


Osa is a visual communications graduate from the University of Lagos. His background, operating in brand communications and his eye for detail, enables him to proficiently bring brand concepts to life via digital design, and physical brand activations. He has worked with different street art media, and major brands such as, Globacom, MTV Base, Diageo, Chicken Republic, Reside Mechanic, and Empire Mates Entertainment. Some of his preferred operate consists of a live graffiti art efficiency on the MTV Base Guinness #MADEOFBLACK campaign and the award-winning Superstar album art for Wizkid.


He is passionate about giving back to the society, and hence engages in social outreach, and NGO activities across Nigeria. He utilizes his art to market social causes and raise awareness on societal concerns. He unquestionably had to share his story with us.


When did your like for the arts emerge?
When I was a kid, I would get lost in drawing images from my imagination, and I enjoyed telling stories via my art. I was a bit of a shy kid, and art was my way of expressing my mind.


How did you find out graffiti?
I’m really a self-taught artist. I discovered graffiti via watching YouTube tutorials and reading graffiti resource websites.


What does graffiti mean to you? Retribution or freedom?
Freedom! It is an expression of my thoughts, desires, and feelings. It is also my way of encouraging individuals via optimistic messaging.


Graffiti in other components of the globe has a negative reputation. How has it turn out to be so attractive even for corporate brands here in Nigeria?
I would say path and worth. Graffiti is stated to be radical, but I think that you can be radical in a constructive way. It is also an engaging type of marketing and can be employed to develop marketing worth for clientele via consumer interactivity.


Your art is special and genuine. How do you stay inspired?
I am constantly learning. I commit time researching on art styles and make an work to make and recreate.


The Eko Tag took us via a reality where graffiti and street art became broadly accepted and seen as eye-catching/engaging. What was that project like for you?
The project was challenging, in the sense that it’s the largest wall I’ve ever worked on alone, and the feedback was awesome. I viewed it as an opportunity to inform our nearby stories to a worldwide audience, and I am delighted to have been the artist to bring it to life.


You run the initiative, Art For A Lead to, inform us more about it?
Art For A Lead to is a project that I run via our foundation referred to as Socially Africa. Just about every two months, we visit a college and paint educational artwork on their walls. We have executed the project in 11 schools within the previous 1 year. At the moment, the project is self-funded, and we are open to collaborating with individuals and corporate entities that would like to give back via our platforms.


A lot of young individuals appear up to you now. Have you viewed as helping talented youth and youngsters hone their artistic abilities?
As a lot as I like to understand, I also adore to teach. I set up an art platform named Kuma Nation where we share sources, and showcase other artists. We have hosted 3 exhibitions curating other artists work. In addition to this, I also share a lot of know-how via my social media and host internet reside sessions exactly where I teach.


What awful thing have you tasted that you have promised to under no circumstances taste once more?
Caviar (fish eggs), I know it is viewed as luxury food, but it doesn’t taste as nice as it appears.
