Laser Hair Removal At At Sanctuary Medical Center laser hair removal is performed utilizing the Lumenis LightSheer™ Diode Laser – the world’s most advanced treatment for removal of unwanted hair. Lumenis Epilight technology is also available. Virtually any area of the body can be treated and a specially trained female registered nurse with on-site physician supervision performs most treatments. Both men and women may be treated.
For those considering laser hair removal, please do not wax, pluck, bleach or sun-tan any area you wish treated, You may shave immediately prior to your treatment visit. The length of a treatment session may vary from a few minutes to an hour or more depending upon the size of the area treated.

ClearLight Phototherapy system. ClearLight Phototherapy utilizes a blue wavelength light source to kill the bacteria most commonly responsible for acne lesions. The treatment has an effectiveness of 80% or more in treatment of moderate inflammatory acne. Sessions typically last 20 minutes twice weekly for four weeks or once weekly for eight weeks. Sometimes an additional topical treatment utilizing aminolevulinic acid, known as photodynamic therapy, is added for increased effectiveness. Additional topical treatments are sometimes recommended by our board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
Laser Resurfacing At Sanctuary Medical Center offers laser resurfacing utilizing the Lumenis Derma-K™ laser to treat facial lines and wrinkles, scars and pigmentary abnormalities. All resurfacing procedures are performed by one of our board certified physicians and anesthesia services are available in the accredited outpatient surgical facility at Plastic Surgery of Southern Connecticut.
