Historic Inn and Tavern

For over 200 years guests Have appreciated the hospitality given at the historical Altland House Inn and tavern located in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1790, the inn was bought by Robert Altland in 1880, also stands at precisely the same location today. Including a third story and what is currently its current facade completed in 1911 by then owner Ruben Altland, the inn and tavern continued to prosper. Fast forward to 1954; no more made of logs but beautiful with a refurbished grandeur for all to enjoy the Altland House was rented at this time with a former waitress, Betty Haugh along with her husband Tom later bought by the Haugh family in 1972.
